| We
don’t believe that high attorney fees should
prevent you from creating an effective estate
plan. We also believe that estate planning, while
complicated, can be demystified. Usually
by the end of our first meeting we are able
to identify and discuss your various options,
what each will accomplish, what we would recommend
(and why), and the estimated cost. You can then
determine what is appropriate given your circumstances
and goals.
Estate planning is one of
the two primary focuses of our practice.
Our practice is built upon
the belief that clients need (and deserve) the
time to discuss their unique circumstances,
to understand their options, and to formulate
their planning objectives. Through the effective
use of technology, we have shortened the time
needed to draft your legal documents. Our process,
therefore, provides for quality client-attorney
“face time” while minimizing drafting
work. This allows us to build strong client
relationships and provide quality counsel for
a reasonable fee.
Our typical costs for an estate
plan for a couple range from $750 to $3,200
(excluding filing fees), depending on the complexity
of the planning. The lower end includes a simple
will, power of attorney and health care proxy
for each spouse, an emergency guardianship proxy,
and a homestead declaration. The higher end,
for those with larger estates, includes the
above documents as well as complex "tax
shelter" trusts, which will minimize (or
sometimes eliminate) estate tax liability.
There are several options
between the low and high end packages, which
we will discuss at our initial complimentary
consultation. This will provide you with the
information you need to make a good decision
about which plan is most appropriate for you,
given your goals, needs, and budget. |

| Our
goal is always to provide you an estate
plan that is significantly more valuable
to you than the price we charge. |
